CAN'T add 3rd socket to a skill gem!

As you can see in the attached screenshot the skill gem won't even highlight! (green arrow is highlighted but the yellow skill gem isn't!) Any ideas on how to fix this?

My problem is related to (ascendance) skill gem Ruzhan the blazing sword or Skeletal Warrior Minion. I saw the build where Ruzhan had 5 sockets and I cannot add any new socket or impove the quality by Gemcutter's prism. I need any informatorom of this is possibile to upgrade them in any way and its some kind of bug?

Unfortunately you people just need to do some reading before assuming something is a bug. Inherent abilities such as from an ascendancy or from an equipped weapon are not gems and only receive more support slots as they level up. For a player's ascendancy abilities it is player levels 45, 60, and 90.

So according to you we need to do some research to find out why we can't add a socket and it's not the lack of description from GGG! It's like buying a 3D printer but it's up to you to figure out how to use it because the manufacturer didn't add a manual! Got you
I learned a lot of things in the past months like for example I need to use a tool (pob) to find out what skills in the skill tree I need to get because the description says something but what you get is not really what the description says!
And ofc the characters balance is just broken some characters (e.g plant druid) destroy any map (endgame) and for the rest you will reach the character's limit eventually
