Tired of Random Deaths

Is there a way to make exp gaining more fun? lol
I dont have much time to play, and sometimes its going smooth, but at some poiint my character dies because of random gimmicks, and it feels like the game knows it is going smoothly so the character have to die at one point lol, bcs i feel like im dying more at the same point for every character (like lvl 91-92, and lvl 95-96 is the most noticable) Last bumped on Dec 10, 2025, 6:28:28 PM

My dude you are running flicker strike with a replica abyssus. That is the ultimate you are going to sometimes die randomly build. Also you are barely capped on a few resists so exposure or curses will further amplify the extra damage you are already taking from abyssus.
If you really want to level up then alt spam maps for no damage/downsides for your build and then regal them. If the regal gives a bad mod scour and try again or just accept blue maps if thats to much tedium for you. But really your build is the problem here. |

As gladpie said, you are playing a build/gear combo that is notorious for getting the operator killed (you get flickered into dangerous situations and have a large amount of extra incoming damage from your helm)
But as general advice for leveling: 1. Make a separate regex for map selection for when you are focusing on leveling that is stricter than you would use otherwise. Weed out mods like reduced max res, reduced recovery of life/es, etc. (you can still keep the other maps, just save em for after you hit next level) 2. Run less juice on your maps. Yes, that also generally means less loot. But if you are running a strat thats at the very limit of your builds abilities, then you are going to have trouble getting passed ~lvl95. This also means not clicking many or any of the eldritch alters. 3. Consider alternate gear/skill setup if you are still having problems. For a build like flicker, maybe drop the helm for a tankier option while you are leveling. Or drop a DPS aura for a tankier option like determination/grace. Yes, this means less dps. 4. Use atlas passives like adding shrines to maps, Well Spring of creation, not taking explicit modifier increase nodes, etc to gain some player power/tankiness. 5. Group play. Annoying, but if you can find someone who's auras complement your build to level with, that can help alot. 6. Omens. Omens of amelioration are expensive, and I would not suggest using them until 98/99, and only once you already have a bit of progress on the lvl. but there are other omens that you can use for small character power boost. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.” Last edited by Piousqd#0073 on Dec 10, 2025, 6:34:12 PM
