Cannot select Whirling Barrier on passive tree (solved)

I'm old and blind. problem solved. Nothing to see here.





I have a staff equipped. I have no secondary weapon.

Tried going around the other arm of the node, and could not select Smashing Strikes either.

Any idea what might be blocking me?

I have other staff nodes allocated, but the game will not let me select either of these two nodes.

if I had to guess you weren't selecting all 3 travel nodes before them,

you currently only have 1 point in the wheel, there is 3 before each notable.

Nah, man... this ain't a noob problem. I tried going around the wheel from every angle.

I have specced out of it, because I couldn't make it work.

All it says, when I spec into it, when I get to the notable passive, is "requirements not met".

Time to eat crow...

It is not a noob problem, it is an "I'm getting old and my eyes ain't what they used to be" problem. I didn't see the one node that is inside of the wheel from it, I was only taking two nodes then trying to click on Whirling barrier.

I just enlarged it more, and saw that the path has one inside.
