Bleeding damage with Chaos Inoculation

Hi,
I keep reading that Chaos Inoculation gives immunity to bleeding. However, in the game, even though I have CI, I still get bleeding and it takes damage from my energy shield. If I run, the damage is faster, and if I use a utility flask with immunity to bleeding, the damage stops immediately, so I think it really is bleeding. Can someone explain to me how it works?

CI does not give bleed immunity in PoE 1, but it does in PoE 2. In PoE 1, you still need an anti-bleed flask, and you can use the Soul of Ralakesh Pantheon to help.

I do not and will not use TFT.

Thanks for your reply. I found so much different information about CI providing immunity to bleeding that I found it strange. I hope this helps others too.
