Using vaal flicker strike deals no damage until the strike completes.
That is, only the projectiles generated by the Wind Blast support skill deal damage,
and while many projectiles are created, their damage is extremely weak.
The skill used to defeat the boss later on is flicker strike.

+1 on this. Was leveling an alt with hollow palm and volcanic fissure of snaking and noticed the damage from the support is almost zero.

I think it's because it's supposed to be a bow/wand support so despite not stating it in the text it only scales with bow or wand damage so they really need to either let it scale with all attack damage or disable it for non-bow/wand skills.
