Helena no longer identifies items when Ctrl+clicking her (Bug Report #1,975,905,976)

Before the 3.27.0 patch went live, if you ctrl+clicked on Helena, she would identify all unidentified items in your inventory, not unlike The Hooded one in Path of Exile 2's main campaign. The speed of this was convenient; one quick click to identify all items.

While the 3.27.0 patch added identification capacity to an NPC in every act's town, Helena's behavior has changed to match theirs: now, a ctrl+click instead opens up the vendor "sell" window, something that isn't very useful given how many NPCs are in the hideout to sell things to, so this change would be unintended.

  • Bug Report ID: #1,975,905,976. This was just taken in the hideout and contains no useful data, but is here to fend off bad-faith commenters.

  • Reproduction: Trivial: have unidentified items in your inventory, and ctrl+click Helena to approach her.

  • Screenshot: Attached is a screenshot showing the dialog options for Helena if not holding Ctrl. This serves mostly just to identify the NPC being spoken of. There really isn't any way to screenshot this behavior.

The quick shortcut for item identification is Ctrl+Alt+Click on Mouse and Keyboard.

Thanks, that’s what I was looking for. But honestly, why make it more complicated? That’s basically the main purpose of this NPC in your hideout anyway. Maybe we should add another button since the shortcut is way too easy and not enough players have developed carpal tunnel from this game yet. More clicking!
