It's actually super impressive

...that PoE still manages to be the absolute king of online/league-based ARPGs.

People are unhappy with D4, Torchlight Infinite has P2W elements (and generally just copies PoE), and LE, while actually having potential at first, was bought out by a conglomerate known for making games P2W.

Yet GGG is still going strong despite all the controversies about "the vision" and Settlers being a year-long league.

Big Developers aren't trying to make the perfect game, they are trying to make games that make tons of money.

Like how developers are making so much Mobile games or P2W games. They are generally terrible, but they make so much money. People still don't understand it is not that they aren't good at something , they aren't even trying.

“Your game is so terrible! It is like a kindergarten kid's work!”

“What?? No! It is amazing, it is making so much money!”

Yeah, it's quite sad that they prioritize making games profitable over just making them fun.

The LE situation especially sucks, I really wanted the game to succeed but then the devs sold out.

Like, they should've sold to Tencent or another conglomerate that's known for not messing with the actual games, not one with an entire ongoing controversy.
