GGG, will server (peering?) issues ever be resolved?

For context, I'm talking about the cause of the ping spikes in some regions during certain periods of the week. In the majority of cases, (as far as I'm aware) this is caused by certain nodes between ISP servers and GGG servers becoming overloaded.

This is a problem you and the player base have grappled with for a long time, and I want to ask if it's something that you will solve, or if we have to deal with it (VPN, avoiding certain hours, playing through it, not playing). I know it can't be easily to solve, but can't help but wonder. After all, there have to be server hosts that I can connect to without issues, like the one hosting the VPN I sometimes use to play PoE... or at least, enough server hosts with different network paths to spread the load, or drop problematic hosts.

Getting us to work with our ISPs to fix routing problems is not a solution -- if it was, the issue would be long gone.

GGG don't have Technical Support staff, so nobody there's even going to read this.

It's not my intention to be dismissive - but show me a server-based online game with a DAU in the six digits or higher, and I'll show you a Technical Support forum section with players complaining of issues with routing and demands for alternative data centres to be spun up.

The problem isn't unique to GGG / PoE, and I don't think they've any appetite for attempting to play a game of whack-a-mole and repeatedly alter their infrastructure in the hope of having the best possible reliability for that week's conditions. There just isn't any kind of business case for that.

As a statement of fact: your ISP is in control over their infrastructure, your ISP can reconfigure it to favour or blacklist a peering provider of theirs, and you pay your ISP for internet connectivity.

The liability is theirs - even if that is an inconvenient answer for you, and even if you aren't the only person affected while playing this one game (both of which we would term anecdotal).

Posting on the PoE forum might be easier and more convenient than escalating an issue through your ISP's various levels of support staff, but it's not GGG that dictates where and how your ISP's infrastructure sends your internet traffic. If anything, it sounds like you need a new ISP tbqh.
GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

Free Technical Support guides are available here: https://www.poecommunity.help

No ads, trackers, or other weird stuff.
I don't expect it to be resolved either, nor do I really expect any sort of statement that it won't be. Also this thread was moved here from Help and Information (heck if I know where to post to have a chance at a response). I guess I'm just frustrated at seeing more posts about server issues recently.

About getting a new ISP, believe it or not this (seemingly) affects at least 3 different ISPs (I've tried 2 and a friend has a third) out of the 5 big ones in my country, and I'd wager it affects the other two too. It presents at night, mostly.
