Perfect exalt gave me mods that shouldn't be possible?

The above is the result of a craft I just did. I'll explain the process I used. So I was crafting an quarterstaff by recombo-ing 2 T2 mods(about 6.5% chance without a lucky omen), T2 flat phys and T2 % phys. The recombo went well so I added a desecrated prefix thus filling the prefixes. Then I hit an exalt to add one junk suffix, dextral crystalization omen a perfect essence of battle for +6 melee levels, and to remove the junk suffix added just before (Not sure if I even need to add that junk mod, but I do just to be safe in the case that if there are no suffixes forces the perfect essence to remove a prefix, unsure). Then from there the last step is to greater exalt omen + homogenous omen + perfect exalt to try to hit attack speed and crit chance. Note: If I was luckier the attack speed would have carried over on a fracture from one of the bases but I got unlucky. Now here is the odd part: The mods I got from the greater exalt homogenous perfect exalt were T1 life per enemy hit and T1 Accuracy and light radius. The T1 life per enemy hit is a level 40 mod and the T1 accuracy and light radius is a level 30 mod, according to here https://poe2db.tw/us/Quarterstaves#ModifiersCalc But a Perfect Exalt says that the minimum level of any mod rolled with it should be level 50, which, if I'm not crazy, should exclude both of those mods?? What happened here? By using a homogenous omen I should have been only able to roll attack mods because at that point there is only phys/attack mods in the T2 phys mods, +6 levels has no tag, and an unrevealed desecrated mod has no tags either. That means that I should be limited to rolling T3+ life or mana leech, T2+ attack speed, T2+ crit chance, T2+ and crit bonus damage. Because those are the only attack and phys mods that have available levels above 50. So, yeah, I feel like, based on my understanding of how higher level currency functions, I got ripped off by a bug here. Can anyone explain this? Just in case the image link doesn't work, here is the copy paste of the weapon in question. Item Class: Quarterstaves Rarity: Rare Dread Spire Razor Quarterstaff -------- Quality: +20% (augmented) Physical Damage: 382-637 (augmented) Critical Hit Chance: 10.00% Attacks per Second: 1.40 -------- Requires: Level 77, 127 Dex, 50 Int -------- Sockets: S S -------- Item Level: 82 -------- 36% increased Physical Damage (rune) -------- 159% increased Physical Damage Adds 43 to 72 Physical Damage +56 to Accuracy Rating +6 to Level of all Attack Skills Grants 5 Life per Enemy Hit 15% increased Light Radius 92% increased Lightning Damage (desecrated) 21% increased Magnitude of Shock you inflict (desecrated) Last bumped on Sep 12, 2025, 1:34:12 AM

" The "Minimum Modifier Level" term has a dotted line underneath it, meaning you can hold Alt over the item to keep the tooltip up, then mouse over the term for a detailed explanation. Clicking on the term will pin it, so you can look at terms in that explanation as well. For Minimum Modifier Level, the first line is "Added random modifiers are at least this level or higher, except if a specific modifier type would be excluded entirely from being able to roll." " Minimum Modifier Level cannot prevent a modifier type from rolling at all. Because no valid modifier tiers for these modifier types were above the minimum level, the highest appropriate tier was left in the pool of possible mods. I word this this way because there edge cased right around the minimum modifier level this addresses, where modifiers below the minimum modifier level are left in the pool despite not being T1. For example, if you use a Perfect Exalted Orb on an item with ilvl 50, a lower tier modifier might be left in because the next tier above level 50 has a modifier level of 54, which cannot roll on a level 50 item. |

I see. Well looks like I was just unlucky. Always good to learn more about the game.
If someone could delete this post, I'm sure that would be good as this is clearly not a bug. Thank you for your time. |
