Bug Report: Multiple Issues in PS5 Couch Co-op Mode (Path of Exile 2)
⸻ Bug Report: Multiple Issues in PS5 Couch Co-op Mode (Path of Exile 2) On the PlayStation 5 version of Path of Exile 2, numerous bugs occur primarily when two characters in couch co-op have different quest progression states. For clarity: • P1: The player whose character is further ahead in quest progression. • P2: The player whose character is behind in quest progression. ⸻ [General Issues] 1. When one character dies in co-op play, if the surviving character has an “X-button” skill assigned that continuously triggers while held down, the revive action is canceled repeatedly. Instead of reviving, the assigned skill keeps activating, making it impossible to revive the fallen ally. ⸻ [Quest Progression Desync Issues] At many points during Acts, P2 cannot interact with NPCs or quest objects. As a result, quests cannot be progressed unless P2 disconnects and rejoins solo. Below are the issues observed so far (this list may be incomplete; it will be updated as more are discovered). ⸻ Act 1 1. Near the Greulwood Encampment, during the quest to free the Black-Hooded Man, even if P2 has the required item, the three runes on the tree cannot be interacted with. 2. In the Cemetery, after clearing both the Magistrate’s Tomb and the Countess’s Tomb, P2 collects the keys and speaks to Count Lachlan. However, when attempting to open the iron gate behind him, the gate does not open and instead reports that the player lacks the required key. ⸻ Act 2 1. After speaking with Asala, P2 must travel to the Halani Gate via the desert map, but the Halani Gate does not appear (only the Traitor’s Passage is available). 2. After completing the flute for the storm quest, P2 is supposed to use it at the Ardura Caravan to calm the sandstorm, but the storm is already gone, preventing quest progression. 3. After defeating Zamrala, the Act 2 final boss, P2 is meant to leave the Ardura Caravan and interact with the Black-Hooded Man to learn his identity. However, P1 becomes blocked by an invisible wall and cannot exit the caravan, preventing P2 from reaching the Black-Hooded Man (he remains outside the screen’s range). Quest progression becomes impossible. 4. Even after completing step 3 above, when P2 speaks to Asala, the option to travel to Act 3 does not appear, blocking progression. ⸻ Act 3 1. To drain the waters in the Martlan Waterways, P2 must place the Large Core onto the altar. Even when carrying the Large Core, interaction with the altar is not possible, halting progression. 2. In Agorat, at the Blood Sacrifice Altar, P2 cannot proceed even when carrying both the Heart and the Dagger. A message appears saying that the Heart is missing. ⸻ Act 4 1. When P2 attempts to cross the bridge into King’s March from Act 3, P1 is blocked by an invisible wall (similar to the Act 2 issue above), preventing P2 from progressing further into the questline. 2. Throughout Act 4, after speaking with Macoru on the ship in Anchor’s Cove, players are supposed to use the sailing menu to travel to various dungeons. However, both P1 and P2 are unable to interact with Macoru at all, making dialogue and dungeon travel impossible. ⸻ Note The error messages listed above may differ slightly from the exact in-game wording (due to memory limitations). ⸻ Last bumped on Sep 11, 2025, 1:24:46 AM
