Omen of the Sovereign BUGGED

I cannot use my Omen of the Sovereign on my body armour. I activate it, apply Preserved Rib, and click on my body armour (no desecrated mod on it yet), but I get a failed message saying the omen is incompatible with this desecrating item.

CONTEXT: Base in question is Warlord Cuirass. Rare item. 3 mods. Ilvl 82. Preserved Rib SHOULD work because it has no ilvl restrictions. This body armour base has two Ulaman modifiers it should be able to roll, yet it still cannot be applied.

UPDATE: I was able to use Omen of Dextral Necromancy + Preserved Rib on the same base with no issues. This bug lies specifically with Omen of the Sovereign.

The Lich specific omens are only compatible with weapons and jewelry.

I appreciate the answer, but wow why wouldn't that be specified on the omen??? That is so completely unintuitive!
