Can't Spend Atlas Passive Points - Blocked From Getting More Ascendancy Passive Points

I had a quest to talk to Dannig starting out in the endgame. I was playing the game normally doing early maps. While buying an upgrade in someone's hideout I noticed Dannig had an exclamation over his head signifying a quest. So I talked to him and received the quest reward item to get 2 atlas passive points. I tried to spend them but the passive tree was treating it as if I had no points to spend. I couldn't allocate any new passives. I figured what the hell and moved on figuring a log out and in would fix it later. I had gotten a Trial of Sekhemas item to attempt a trial for two more Ascendancy points, so I thought I'd give that a go. Breezed through that no problem, but when I got to the end the statute to receive the points was unable to be interacted with. I could mouse over it and highlight it, but when I clicked it did nothing. I tried logging at this point but upon logging back in I still couldn't spend the atlas points. Kinda sucks if I'm soft-locked by a bug from being able to ascend.

Check the other Atlas trees on the side. Atlas points are not universal.

I would second this. In my case I got two points from completing level 79 map with a boss, which got me Vanquisher's Book of Knowledge and two points. Yet I could not use those points at all.
