Elemental Surge WPN Swap w/ Hollow Palm does not proc cold surge on projectile

Background Setup:
Running Amazon
1st ascendancy points went into Elemental Surge.
Also running Hollow Palm.
Using Killing Palm to farm power charges.
Using Falling Thunder to spend charges and gain cold surges.
Tried using Glacial Lance w/ spear weapon slot 2 and weapon swap.


Cold surges do not carry over on weapon swap and are not consumed when Glacial Lance is used.

I'm assuming this is a bug and elemental surges and any charges gained are global and not confined to a given weapon set.

Goal is to eventually use combat frenzy to game frenzy charges and super charge my Glacial Lance with Cold Surge and Frenzy Charge consumption.

Re-reading the additional information on elemental surge shows that it is highly restrictive in use.

It was specifically designed to be used with Bow only or Spear only builds. and was not intended to be used with weapon swap at all.

Grants your weapon Surges. Non-Melee Projectile Attacks with that weapon Consume Surges to cause the Projectiles fired to explode at the end of their flight.

1. Non-melee projectile -> meaning you cannot use any melee skills with projectiles built into to them limiting the cast to Bow only or Spear only skills.

2. "with that weapon" -> meaning weapon swap will not work you must farm charges, consume them and farm surges, and then use the surge all on the same weapon.

I think this limitation really kills build diversity and creative build combos.

And I hate to say it, but language like this is littered everywhere making it really hard to come up with cool combos and fun interactions.
