Mark of the abyssal lord/Essence of the abyss not working correctly

I was using Essence of the abyss to desecrates lv 78-81 weapon yesterday (9/1/2025) and the mod outcome is just T1 - T2 (high end). Now the mod outcome when desecrates with Mark of the abyss is totally random like normal desecrates. I dont see any patch note about this either. May be this is a bug ?

Same thing just happened to me, T3 mod hit with essence of abyss resulted in much higher tier options when revealed.

I'm confused, what's going on?

I used "Essence of the Abyss" on the 80 ilvl quiver with 1 prefix and 3 suffixes, and it removed suffix "+31 Dexterity" which is ilvl 74 and replaced it with Mark of the Abyssal. After desecrating, it added unrevealed PREFIX modifier.
After revealing mods it showed 54 ilvl flat cold, 41 ilvl proj speed, and 64 ilvl "Projectiles deal (20–30)% increased Damage with Hits against Enemies within 2m", which are all lower item level than the suffix(31 Dexterity - 74 ilvl) which was removed using "Essence of the Abyss".

I think this essence is bugged and it must be fixed, because after removing ilvl 74 mod and then desecrating, it must show affixes, ilvl of which are all higher than the ilvl of the removed mod, as written in the description of the "Essence of the Abyss".

seems like its a shadow nerf guys RIP

Do we have any news on this? I used it on my spear, and it ripped my t3 flat phys, but nothing will show or let me choose the other modifier
