[BUG] Blasphemy and Decaying Hex interaction

Currently for Blasphemy one of the recommended support gems is Decaying Hex but it doesn't do any damage, even though it says so in the tooltip.
I guess Blasphemy could be transforming the curse into an aura but why curse effects still apply from the tree?
If it's not an intended interaction why does the tooltip change and why it's a recommended support?

This is intended, however it should not be in the recommended gems for Blasphemy as a result. I ran into this as well. If you take Decaying Hex out of the support socket for Blasphemy, and hover over it to see gems that it is applicable to, you will notice that Blasphemy is 'X'ed out.

+1, this needs to be removed from the Recommended Gems section for Blasphemy, OR the interaction needs to be changed to allow Decaying Hex to support curses socketed within Blasphemy, as it does not specify the curse must be cast yourself.

Additionally, it is misleading and confusing, especially for new players, when there are support gems that DO affect Blasphemy socketed curses that are specifically for curses, and when there is wording on other Curse support gems like 'Impending Doom' that specify the curse must be cast yourself.
Chaos Damage increases do not scale the Decaying Hex's chaos dot either. I just assume that this support is bugged beyond belief.
It's only useful to trigger the totem to start shooting immediately at a big area, provided you got size increases on the curse you slapped it on.
We either need a 2nd pass/look at Decaying Hex by GGG or they need to clarify by adressing it's description.
Edit2: Decaying Hex also doesn't work on other skills that spreads the initial curse, such as Hand of Chayula with Hexbloom and Decaying Curse.
