Frozen Locus is awful with the recent change

With the behaviour of most monsters in the game, meaning they run up to you at 300% base MS and autoattack you (a much more massive problem in it's own right), Frozen Locus is extremely difficult to place without instantly shattering because it spawns inside a monster and thus does no damage.

This makes the skill borderline useless. If you want to prevent people from using it as a one-button clear skill with Herald of Ice, make it so the player have to detonate it with another attack skill.

I think the IDEA of the change was good, but they gave no means of mitigating the downside.

I think a series of supports that reduce the damage reduction cooldown, something like tier I reducing the cooldown to 0.3s, tier II reducing it to 0.1s, and tier III removing the cooldown at the cost of a permanent halving of damage(for consistency).

I agree with you on that there should either be other skills the detonate ice crystals, or supports that grant other skills the ability to do so(I'm fond of the idea of palm skills having this).

(Edit: I think quality should effect how much damage is reduced instead of magnitude of chill)

Just add the node that increases the health of the crystal.

Edit: I also place the crystal behind me and somersault into the mob.
