life gain on hit/ life leech

is this working for a witch?
i mean i tried the supporting gem life gain on hit on freezing pulse, no life gain...

i was planning to take the passive that turns life leeched to energy shield but it failed

so is there a way to leech life with spells?

Life leech works for spells, life gain on hit does not.

Life on Hit - does Freezing Pulse "Hit"? - no, if it would it could miss

Lifeleech on gear and in the passive tree says "leeched life from physical attack dmg"...

the Life Leech gem says nothing... so it has no limitations... so it works

Life gain on hit applies only to attacks, not spells. (Anyone confirm this?) To determine if the skill is an attack or spell, simply read the skill gem tooltip.

Look for a life leech gem, applies to all damage done.

Beware of certain passives which grant life leech to physical damage only, as well as item affixes which only grant life leech to physical damage.

look closer at the gem properties.

its a "support, attack" gem. this means it only works for attacks not for spells.
