New Ravenous Swarm is very bad?

I think it's fair to say that everyone expected to use this mainly as a device to poison everything around them.
I tried, but this turned out to be so bad...
Movement speed of swarms is extremely! slow, targeting ai is also bad
While untargetable, this still counts as "minion" - thus common minion behavour (crowding in tight spaces, attacking one and the same target etc etc)
Radius of attack is also low (it could be okay-ish if the targeting, movement and attack speed were fast, but its not)
Worse of all, you can't fix anything at all about this skill with supports - the only useful support here is duration (sure there is damage, poison, armor break supports and whatever, but with base damage and other parameters being so bad there is simply no point at all to use this skill ever)
Or did i miss something?

I agree, even the passive skills from the skill tree don't work
