Sprint is OP and makes combat + certain boss fights trivial

You've listened to the PoE 1 zoomer cries.
Act 1 - 3 and their boss fights clearly were not designed with this planned.

Doryani (an act boss!!) and his deadliest attacks can be completely avoided with ease by Sprint now, no danger at all.

The mad engineer at Mawduw Quarry had a really dangerous phase of chasing you and it required players to execute proper stepping and dodging. Now? Hold space, no effort, easy win.

The combat is now optional. No danger as you can almost always run away and avoid.

Please consider adjusting the sprint a bit to make sure it is really just a traversal mechanic and not a combat easy mode enabler.

Some suggestions:
1) Make it ramp up. Dodge, start sprinting slowly and gain full speed in 2sec, at least in area with monsters. Okay to leave it as it us in town.
2) When you sprint, mobs gain the same movement and action speed
3) Sprinting disabled during boss fights
4) When knocked-down due to sprinting, flasks are disabled until you recover

The game is fast enough. If some people need it faster, fine, but not at the expense of combat, please.

So what is stopping you from...not sprinting?

Jono even mentioned in an interview they intend for people who dont like it to not use it. Dont sprint and you have 0.2 movement.

Easy.

Everyone wins.

And no combat is not optional. Show me a single build that can gain a single level without killing somthing. Good luck.

Gamers use all tools the game provides to beat it, that's kinda the point.
My feedback is that this tool (Sprint) is way too powerful and I suggest toning it down.

You are right, it doesn't help with clear or killing the boss.
It provides an unfair speed advantage in fights (esp. boss fights) and reduces danged to a minimum with some bosses. I believe an Act 3 boss shouldn't be hard-countered by a single button that was implemented after his design.

Same with Escape trial at Sekhemas. Now you end up with 90% timer without even trying. Sprint just broke it.
Straight up never struggled on the trial or just simply dodging the mad engineer pre sprinting. Asking monsters to move faster is crazy, I've seen monsters run faster that me in combat and they are ranged, not fun to engage with as a melee character lmao, and you want them even faster? Melee gonna be extra dead after that

I'll keep saying it. We are playing 0.3 but the monsters and bosses are playing 0.2. All the player power and mechanical advantages were not taken into account for monster/boss balance.

GGG has a very long way to go to bring back challenge into the game after these changes. Monsters need more resilience and faster mechanics now. Bosses need all their attacks and mechanics adjusted. It's a mess.
