Loot disappears on death

I believe there is a bug where boss loot disappears on death. I just defeated a miniboss and a pack of wolves spawned right after and killed me. When i returned the loot disappeared.

Is this about Path of Exile 1 or Path of Exile 2?
Were you definitely there when the boss died, or is it possible the boss died while you were outside? Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.
