0.3 Game crashed due to missing file

So I updated my game and driver and getting ready to play the game. Suddenly, when I clicked login and entered character menus the game crashed. I've tried verified my game many times, even reinstalled. Nothing helps. I even asked my friend to login into my account and solve it. He crashes too. Here's what the error says:

Metadata/Items/Armours/Shields/Uniques/MeritOfService/MeritOfServi
ceHeld.ao is non-virtual and does not have a physical file

I assume that this is caused by a missing file of "MeritOfService" skin. GGG I hope you can fix this ASAP because this is very upsetting since I've been waiting for league start for months.

That's a curious statement to make on GGG's own forum, given their Terms of Use.
