Reduced Reflected Damage Taken not working properly with Kinetic Blast of Clustering

Dear Support Team,

I would like to report a possible bug regarding the interaction between the “Reduced Reflected Damage Taken” modifier and the skill Kinetic Blast of Clustering.

My setup:

Skill: Kinetic Blast of Clustering

Item: Mageblood Belt

Flask Modifier: 55% Reduced Reflected Damage Taken

Flask Effect: 95% increased Effect

By calculation:
55% + (55% × 0.95) = 107.25% Reduced Reflected Damage Taken.

According to this, I should be fully immune to reflected damage. However, I still frequently die instantly when attacking monsters with Kinetic Blast of Clustering.

Interestingly, this problem does not occur when I use Penance Brand – with that skill, I do not take any reflected damage. The issue seems to be specific to Kinetic Blast of Clustering.

Could you please confirm whether this is a bug or if there is another mechanic interaction I am not aware of?

Thank you very much for your support and for looking into this issue.

Best regards

Reduced reflected elemental damage is additive with sources of increased damage taken. On quick glance, I do not see any source of shock immunity, so if you are being shocked for at least 10% damage, you will take reflected damage. Shocked ground, enemy's shocking you, or shock reflection via sources like Eldritch altars all possible.

This is not true, because "Reduced" modifiers are additive with "Increased" modifiers. You're only immune if you have no sources of "Increased damage taken".

You aren't fully immune to Shock (only have 23% chance to avoid), and have Chaos Innoculation allocated. Areas with modifiers like patches of shocked ground, increased monster crit chance, or monsters have chance to inflict elemental ailments on hit could lead to you getting shocked, taking increased damage, and making you vulnerable to reflected damage again.

Certain monsters might also have shock built into their kits. A generic but noticable case would be rares with Lightning Mirage, which leaves behind a patch of shocked ground when it explodes.

Wine of the Prophet could rarely kill you due to the "The Darkest Dream" buff inflicting Withered on you on hit, making you take increased elemental damage for each stack.

T17 maps can have a modifier which gives players the Marked for Death debuff when they kill a rare or unique monster. This debuff causes you to take 50% increased damage for 10 seconds.
