Crafting issues 0.3

After thousands of threads asking for a crafting bench to reduce the gambling aspect of crafting, it still hasn’t been added. Unlike POE1, there’s no crafting bench, no alteration orbs, or similar system to roll items. Instead, we’re forced to pick up thousands of bases in every map instead of simply spending some currency to roll or craft the missing part on an item.

Abyssal crafting is a decent system, but it still feels like gambling—just split into three parts. You might get something useful, but there’s also a good chance of ending up with three awful rolls that make the item worthless for endgame.

I hate to say it, but a crafting bench is absolutely necessary. We need it back. The same goes for alteration orbs and item rolling—they’re essential if you truly want POE players to feel satisfied.

Yes, you did make leveling and progression smoother, but that doesn’t change the fact: we still need the crafting bench or rolling orbs, even if they only unlock at endgame once players reach mapping.


The frustration comes from knowing that player power is locked behind pure luck instead of effort or planning. Without a way to target-craft, progress feels like a slot machine rather than an ARPG. Players want to feel rewarded for investing time and currency—not punished by endless bad rolls. That’s why bringing back the crafting bench or rolling orbs isn’t just a request, it’s a necessity for long-term player satisfaction.


I truly hope these features are added in 0.3, because if my luck turns out bad again, I may end up quitting the league altogether.
