Brittle Arsonists one-shot me

Thanks to the suggestions in the previous threads to use Molten Shell along with a CWDT gem, I progressed all the way to tier 2 maps and successfully beat the merciless labyrinth.

However, in T3 maps, whenever I encounter a pack of these mobs, they one-shot me. It happens fast enough that I can't react and apply a flask. I don't know what's special about those mobs because most other mobs deal normal damage.

Sometimes you can get a bit of an idea off this site.

Might be ignite, I don't think you are ailment immune. If so, flasks are one way of dealing with that. You get a utility flask with ignite immunity on it, and roll an enchantment that procs when you are ignited.

Otherwise, it is probably just the fire spell damage. You might be able to get some increase max ele res to help with it.

Looks like your build has improved a fair bit. If you need any more help I'm sure people are happy to give some more pointers. Your tree is looking okay, but I think you want to be upgrading your gear again, mainly getting high life rolls, which will help with getting one shotted.

CWDT guard skill is good, but if you are getting full one shotted it may not be procccing before you are dieing. Vaal molten shell might be an option. So you have the automatic one, but also the ability to have it up when you see any danger coming. May not of helped in the case, probably getting more life is the main thing.

Thanks for the pointers, I'll research how to increase the max ele res (and how to automate flasks).

For others reading this, here's also an image of another mob that one-shots me in T2 maps in case it helps for giving more specific advice.

These are well known threat to HC builds. While its rare to get hit by a lot of their projectiles - if it does happen it can RIP a lot of HC builds.

The normal #1 way to deal with them is to not get hit (alot). They are slow and attack predictably. Learn to move out of the way.

In terms of build you can defend (roughly in this order for efficiency):
1. Spell Suppression
2. Spell Block
3. cwdt
4. Max Res
5. more buffer/life
6. Minions & Mercenary

Also: You have circles in your passive tree - this is almost always a waste of points.

Also: You have the 15% life mastery but your body has a life mod so its a 100% wasted point.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

Good point about that 15% life mastery! I actually completely forgot about that one; I'll go unspec it.
