How do you get currency on a fresh start?

I lost my old mail and account (maybe i'll ticket to get it back) but the point is:
I never started fresh. I used to have currency on my main league (after tons of trial and error) but i started new and i know just basic stuff like chaos orb recipes.
Let's suppose i find a good item that could be sold for some chaos, i can't recognize it, i would just dismantle it instead of appreciating his value.
And the list goes on, i'm very noobish so any tip and trick is appreciated.

It's hard to offer tailored advice for you without knowing more about you.

I would say that you likely want to pick one strategy, focus on it, and become as efficient as possible at using it and maximise the time you spend doing that one thing - tedious though this may be.

I'd be inclined to suggest Height; it isn't difficult to look up the value of an alternate gem / replica unique, and it's rather good for pure currency rewards, too. So you shouldn't need much game knowledge for it. Up to you whether you want a dedicated character for running Heist.
The majority of POE1 players start fresh constantly (league play vs standard), so this is a very common situation. If you search youtube for "poe league start strategies" or "poe early currency strategies" , youll find alot of content.

You haven't given enough info for any kind of specific advice though. Are you out of the campaign?

-Use a loot filter. This will highlight objectively good currency items and uniques.

-Use a price checker. Awakened POE is the most popular.

-Buy some premium stash tabs, set price on entire tab. stick piles of items you dont know value of it them, see if people whisper you.

Rules of thumb:

1. Ground loot rares are not worth your time to pick up and ID once youre in maps.

2. Always check fractured rare's

3. Worry less about ground loot and pick a resource farming strategy to start off. (harvest, essence, fossils, etc)

“Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”
From what I understand, the main point of the comment is that you don't know the value of items.

Unfortunately the ONLY solution to this is that you have to play more, try different builds, and as YOU buy gear for that character you begin to understand what stats are valuable for those particular characters. Only then can you effectively understand how to value items yourself, and it will take a decent amount of time, effort, and attention to details.

Short-term, you can set up dump tabs at various amounts of chaos (ex: 10c, 5c, 1c) and place items you THINK are valuable in the highest stashtab 10c. No whispers after a day, move it to the 5c. Another day, move to 1c. Still no whispers, trash it. You'll know if something is priced too low if you get a million whispers all at once. Until you have more knowledge, it will be tedious but it'll also be profitable. **Also only pick up "special" rares: influenced, fractured, etc. Regular rares will almost always be trash and simply not worth your time long-term.

But the biggest hurdle to making currency is just pure game knowledge, and that is going to come with creating your own characters and understanding what YOU need to buy.
