High CPU usage\Temps on my stronger laptop, not on my weaker one

Hi,

Been playing path of exile for 10+ years, on and off.
Lately, 3 or so leagues, the game runs really poorly on the better laptop.
I got 2 laptops currently -

A. a Lenovo LOQ with a 4060 gpu, Ryzen 5 7640HS with 760m igpu, 16 gb of DDR 5 ram, game installed on a secondary NVME. Windows 11.

B. a HP Victus with 2050 gpu, Ryzen 5 7535H, 16gb of DDR 5 ( I think 4800 speed) ram, game installed on the windows NVME as it has only that half tera. Windows 10.

The game runs considerly worse\hotter on my 4060 laptop. I get MSI afterburner installed and the CPU usage gets very high, even 100% in loading screen (map in, map out) and settles abit when you're in the map but also can spike abit. More of a loading problem but it can make the CPU reach 95C + temprature which is concerning. I usually have the CPU fans on normal so it's not used to these fast spikes to 100%. FPS wise it's fine aslong as it doesn't reach 95+, i think it start thottling there.

On the weaker 2050 Victus, it runs just fine. It reaches 60 as I always aim for, looks fine (not sure where the graphic options are but it looks just fine). Never passes 65C even when the GPU usage is higher cause of the lower overhead of that GPU.
That laptop and GPU\CPU can't even break 70C because the power usage doesn't get to those temps.

I tried both the standalone and steam version, both give me the same results of over using the CPU and making it reach high tempratures on the Lenovo LOQ.

I tried changing the DirecX, Updating the GPU drivers, Playing with some settings people adviced on the forums but it doesn't seem to work.
Tried to lower settings to less requiring stuff other than the resolution but still very high CPU useage on area transition.

Any advice?
Right now I just use that other laptop but it's strange it runs so much better on the weaker one.

Heyo,

I'd like to try to help, but we really need something less ambiguous than

Does this mean the laptop starts off performing better, but as the machine struggles with rising temperatures and ultimately fails to maintain adequate cooling, performance deteriorates? Or does it mean that right from the moment PoE is launched, your framerate is notably poor?

I'm not especially surprised to hear that higher wattage parts are generating more heat which is causing the laptop that has them greater difficulty in keeping temperatures under control.

It would help if you linked us to the [DISPLAY] section of your production_Config.ini on Pastebin.

You should be able to copy & paste the below into File Explorer's address bar to find it;

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile
Yes, I just started a reinstall session on my 4060, i'd post the data alittle later. Chose to install it on C this time, not sure if it will make a difference, Also deleted the old files in documents maybe something there causing problems.

And Yeah I understand a higher wattage gpu like 4060 should and will get hotter than a lower wattage 2050. Same goes to the CPU difference.
Just saying to produce similar results, you'd think the clock speeds and wattage would be similar or if aynthing the load times would be alot better (there's no major difference but the 2050 is more stable).
Taxed high for no reason..

Never used pastebin, not sure if i did it right

Right now still the same deal, it just reaches high temps for no reason for me, as in high usage or what not. But it's not showing any crazy quick loads for all that usage just high heat that I never put my laptops through.

I ran heavy, latest titles here with less of a problem- Final fantasy 7 remake, Elden ring just for a few. If they're really going hard they would max out the CPU temp at 75C.
