Fails to download to my D drive
I have recently purchased a new pc and i tried to download Path of Exile 1 to my D drive, but it went straight to my C drive instead.
I do have 2 drives, one for operating system, the other for games etc. How do i make it that this game installs on my D drive please as i prefer not to go through steam at this point. Last bumped on Jul 21, 2025, 11:25:27 AM

Unfortunately, the combination of GGG no longer providing Technical Support & them having never constructed any form of support site or knowledge base conspires to leave us with very little information regarding how to specifically workaround quirks in their proprietary software.
If your OS drive would, technically, have the spare capacity for Path of Exile then I think you'd have a far easier time of it just letting the installer do what it wants & moving the folder afterwards compared to attempting to force the installer to initially download the files to your preferred location. While I consider it the worst option out of the three - if you dislike Steam & the standalone client's installer is causing you problems, it should be trivial to have the Epic Games Store launcher install the game to your preferred location. Just a thought in case you'd like to consider it. |
