Ping in US servers is set to '?'

Myself, and a few others I have met in the game have all their US servers marked as '?' for their ping.

I have experienced my game backing me out to the main screen, losing all my portals, everything in my inventory that I collected in that instance, with the map, scarabs, and the map device cost all gone. Essentially it rolled me back, while still using all the stuff to make the map activate. After the 2nd or 3rd time, I switched over to Amsterdam, which is not great, but it allows me to play the game.

Is there something I can do to fix this? I am not on a VPN. If there isn't something I can do on my end, is GGG aware of this, and are they doing anything about it?

The only thing that you can do is use a different server. This has to be fixed on GGG's side of things.

As far as I'm aware the the server 'ping' information on the login screen is just an indicator. It shouldn't stop you from logging into the game. Moreover, the login server, which is hosted by cloudflare, is not the same as the instance server.

For example:

The login server for Japan is:

tok01.login.pathofexile.com which has the IP address 172.65.204.192 (cloudflare)

However, after logging into the game, the first instance (the location in the game you enter when you've logged in - for me it's Highgate) server is 165.192.75.204, which is hosted by Equinox in Tokyo.

Server stability is nothing you can fix. However, you can monitor the instance server by monitoring the client.txt file to see if one particular instance is causing more problems than another.

If you're using wifi try wired. Other than that use a different server or try a vpn.
