Extremely low fps
Hey! Having between 5-10 fps constantly, tried different zones, towns, characters, every graphical setting there is, vulkan/directX, re-installed several times but nothing changes.
CPU: Intel i7-14700k GPU: RTX 4070 Ti Ram: 32G Currently sitting in Lion's Watch with 4 fps, but i maxes out at 10 in the login menu Last bumped on Jul 20, 2025, 2:17:37 AM

I’m not sure which game you’re posting about as I don’t recognise the town name Lion’s Watch.
Can you check whether your monitor is connected to your motherboard (bad) or your 4070 Ti (good) ? If it’s connected to your video card already, or if changing it doesn’t help, we’ll need to ask for significantly more information regarding your system & your in-game settings. |

Lioneye's Watch*
Monitor is plugged in properly Not sure what in games settings you need. Tried everything from low-medium-high on every option. V-sync, AA upscale on and off, vulkan/directX. Playing on a widescreen 3440x1440 AOC monitor, tried different resolutions with no difference. " I'm not trying to be difficult, and I've no interest in finding fault WRT your current performance, but can you please specify whether your monitor is connected to your video card or your motherboard? It's just I don't know what the word "properly" means. If the monitor is connected to your motherboard, your computer can choose dynamically whether at any given moment you are relying upon your i7 14700k's built-in UHD Graphics 770 graphics adapter, or your infinitely more powerful RTX 4070 Ti. Now, the average game made using Unreal Engine or whatever will know to specifically request that it be run using your more powerful discrete graphics adapter. GGG back in the day chose to roll their own game engine way-back-when as a very, very early startup - and to this day, their proprietary engine has certain quirks and idiosyncrasies not seen elsewhere. I began by asking which display output your monitor was connected to, because 1) it's hard to understand how an RTX 4070 Ti's performance could be quite that bad (so maybe it isn't!), and, 2) I have very specifically recommended in the past that people disconnect their monitor from their motherboard and connect it to their video card directly and been told that this has entirely resolved their performance issues with Path of Exile. I'm not trying to assign blame for your current performance issues, and I'm sure your setup does fine for games made in more commonly utilised game engines. Path of Exile can be a bit finicky on a good day, and sometimes certain esoteric troubleshooting is what is required. |

Oh man I'm an idiot, must've not thought about which port I used when I moved a couple of months ago. Thanks!
