Access to item image data? Any public endpoints similar to /static?

I'm working on an informational tool for PoE1 on Linux, and noticed that sites such as the trade site and PoENinja both source their item images from:
https://web.poecdn.com/gen/image/{gibberish-symbols}/{item-alias}.png

I was wondering if there exists a public endpoint similar to:
https://www.pathofexile.com/api/trade/data/items
https://www.pathofexile.com/api/trade/data/stats
https://www.pathofexile.com/api/trade/data/static
https://www.pathofexile.com/api/trade/data/filters

That serves a JSON structure mapping items (uniques & bases) to their respective path where they're hosted on poecdn? Specifically I noticed that this is exactly what is happening on the /static endpoint for currency items etc.
