On Mac Client, "There has been a patch you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile"
Once the patch came out, I installed the patch via loading from the Application Support folder under my username, and after it installed, it claimed "There has been a patch ... Please restart Path of Exile" once trying to login.
Also, the team released a new version of the Mac client on the website, so I tried re-installing it from there too, but no dice. In general, I: 1. Tried loading from the new installer directly downloaded from the website. 2. Replacing to Path of Exile in the Application folder with the new one. 3. Reinstalling Path of Exile (by deleting Path of exile from the application support folder). 4. Tried installing it from steam (doesn't even load) and directly trying to click Play from the Steam UI. 5. Went into the local files of the steam game, and tried loading it from there. All lead to PoE claiming there's been a patch and that I need to restart. A few people on discord are facing the same problem. Any ideas on how to fix? Last bumped on Jul 10, 2025, 1:08:34 PM

Before the update, I launched the game directly from the game folder, and everything worked. Now, I’ve reinstalled both the Steam version and the standalone client. The game doesn’t launch from Steam, but it does launch from the Steam folder using the executable file. Last edited by niko_bellick#1400 on Jul 1, 2025, 7:26:08 AM

they don't care about us... They haven't even acknowledged the mac issues...
They didn't update the MacOS client, so we won't be able to connect no matter how hard we try. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3804197 |
