Howlcrack bug? interaction with corrupting cry

So I went and made a fresh new character since I dropped a Howlcrack (new warcry helmet)

running warcry with corrupting cry, get to lvl 60. put on helmet. Disables the warcry. Take off corrupting cry gem, enables warcry.

Im trying to figure out where in the tooltips or the item itself mentions that it shouldnt work with corrupting cry.

self casting. no auto exertion.

I am confused.

You dont have enough life to use warcry, coz 15% base life cost from helmet and 1000% cost multiplier from corrupting cry.

Oh my simple minded brain! You be correct!
Major oversight from my end there.
