GGG 54% Want A Citadel Compass Added To Endgame

I wrote the below email to GGG support. They referred me to this forum. Please read and let everyone know what you think via the poll at the end. Email Subject: Marshmallow's Huge Problem with PoE 2 Endgame & 3 Easy Solutions Email Body: Greetings GGG Support, My Problem: Finding Citadels should not be RNG. It is severely unfair and unfun that I've only found two in almost 1,000 hours of play. Yes, I know you guys recently patched it to make them spawn closer together and in sets of three moving forward. See below for solutions. Plan A: Add A "Citadel Compass" Graphic To The Endgame World Map Screen That Points In The General Direction Of The Closest "Non-Completed And Non-Failed" Citadel Node To The Player's Current Location. It can even wiggle a little if you don't want to give the exact direction away. This solution fixes my problem with the PoE 2 endgame without removing the fog of war or the "fun" of exploration and discovery you all seem to be going for with number 2. Simple, elegant, and thematically on point. isn't it? Why, yes, I am the savior of PoE 2 endgame. LOL. You're welcome. See below for some other, lesser, solutions. Plan B: In The Endgame World Map Bookmarks Window, Where You Have The Player, Home and Monolith Buttons, Add A Fourth Button Called "Citadel Search" That Highlights The Shortest Path To The Closest "Non-Completed And Non-Failed" Citadel Node To The Player Even If The Citadel Is In The Fog Of War... This Highlighted Path Could End Where The Fog Of War Ends If You Want. This path doesn't even have to be the shortest or most correct path. You could find "clues" to the whereabouts of the citadel by exploring the nodes on the path and then the path could change based on those clues. Stronger/weaker clues could decrease the number of nodes in the snaking path altering it to be more correct by various amounts. Maybe there will be a League someday where a new boss steals or breaks our citadel compass and we are forced to use this alternate method until we find and defeat him/her and get it back? That would be wild. Plan C: - Make the Endgame World Map Max Zoom Distance 3x Or More Than What It Is Now - Make Citadels Colored Light Beams Glow From A Huge Distance Away From The Discovered Map Area, I'm Talking Like 150 Connected Nodes Outward Or More From The Uncovered Area - Add A Unique Precursor Tablet Item That Lets You Rerun All Failed Map Nodes In A Radius Including Citadels One Time This plan C option would likely be easier to implement, but it is rather un-elegant in my opinion. Playing poe 2 since day 1 and i've never been in a citadel before and i have 5 characters between level 70~85 The only citadel i found was in 0.2, but when 0.2.1 launched the citadel literally disappeared from my map so i couldn't even see what it was like I won't complain too much bcs is EA and all of that but it's very clear that this a symptom of the direction and vision for poe 2, where every little system is a slot machine, its gambling on top of more gambling and that's honestly a terrible design choice |

It would be great if GGG would implement the player myth from December.
Many players speculated with corpse layouts pointing at citadel directions. While that would be awkward to remember, doing towers could have a direction indicator. Once finished a tower could point into a or multiple citadel direction. |

would help, done a ridiculous amount of maps and there's no beam around to be seen, not one. I had some before and they just vanish with last patch (and i check the location but no citadelles). At this point i am like "is my atlas bugged or wtf", was way easier to find citadelle before the supposed increased spawn rate.
