A Hot Take: If you will

Here's my hot take:

Upon reaching maps, Divine orb drops should be as common as exalts. There's so much unique items & the fact they can just roll with poop stats makes it incredibly frustrating to consider slotting. With divine orbs being the only way to reliably change stats on unique gear, it would make sense to give us them in abundance. It just feels like you can't really use the divine orb for its intended purpose.

Thoughts?

Also I feel like I have to put this here since there will be a few but I get that some people may drop 2 to 3 divs a map. That's cool, haven't been the case in my experience. I'm lucky to see 1 a day.

TL/DR: Div orbs need to drop more frequently at a base line.

the problem that we see here in the feedback section is that none of us have the same expectation for this game, some want it harder, some want is easier. Also whenever anyone has any suggestion, like yours for example, there is always those few individuals that feel the need to come on to those posts with the "git gud" attitude.

are there people getting multiple divs per run? yes. but an overwhelming majority have seen less then 10 divs drop all season.

this is why hundreds of thousands of players have moved on to other games already.

blizzard fell for this same exact thing with d3 and again with d4. Now we are all watching it happen to PoE2.

Players can't find gear, they can't craft gear, so they are left with settling for not being able to do endgame, or running around in public games in hopes that they will level up before they die and find something they can use or trade for something they can use.

this has been addressed several times, there are countless posts discussing this same thing. I don't see it getting fixed until enough people leave like what happened in d4. sad part is now a days people generally don't come back to the game once they rage quit out.

Where did you find the statistics that shows there are people who get multiple divines per "run"?--or that an overwhelming majority have seen less than 10 all season?

Diablo 3 actually had the opposite problem. They cranked up drops so much that you could be maxed out in like 4 hours after the campaign. Then the game was over. Just forget about D4. Blizzard is not in the business of making games anymore, just money.

The game needs to have a rare currency. Most uniques get corrupted in the end anyway, which applies a div to it in the process. If you have a bad unique that you want to be made better, quality it, socket it, use the corruption omen and vaal it. Problem solved.

I get your line of thinking, but I can't agree with corrupt omen & vaal being seen as equivalent to divine orbs. They may function similarly that they can change stats on gear but they're wickedly different in that vaal orbs end the entire "crafting" process. I have some uniques I refuse to vaal because I don't know if it'll make it better, the same or just brick the item entirely. It's far too much of a gamble to rely on for effective gear improvement. I do agree that there needs to be a rare currency but the one that's becoming more & more impactful with each new unique they drop shouldn't be it. I'd prefer if fracturing orbs were that, if they aren't already. I've only had 1 drop all season.

might as well be at this point, your average player isn't going to have 400 divs for a 600 dps weapon. Also, trade is horribly broken. people abuse the listings to try to control the market, and most of the time when you do find something affordable for a decent price they wont respond to whispers.

i have found 7 divs this entire season at roughly 600 hours played this season. countless posts on reddit talking about this same thing as well. streamers quiting PoE2 with screenshots of their currency rings showing little to no divs found as their reason for quiting.

I have also been in games leeching where the host has had multiple divs drop. I asked one guy how many divs and exalts he was finding per run and he told me that it was around 3 to 5 divs and 200 ish exalts per map. he was paying me 20 exalts per run to just follow him and not loot. he was doing the same for the rest of the full group as well. it was a good night until he logged off lol.

I've seen one. Yes, just fucking one Div all season.

exactly, same as most of us. I don't think they understand this fact even though it is pointed out constantly.

I'm averaging less than 1 div per 100 hours played. perhaps by 2043 I'll be able to finally afford that new item.. That is assuming the person selling it will respond to my whispers at that point.
I get about 10 divine orbs per season tho I only have ~100% rarity and I don't play all day.
