Something that still feels off to me in POE 2 is how you quickly get to TIER 15 maps on any semi decent build.
It is disappointing because leveling and gaining character power through the passive tree is a motivator and it's over fairly fast. Currently it feels like you can just race to ~90 and then I feel like half my motivation is gone, since my character is effectively dealing with the content already. What is the point of improving my gear when I am already level 90+ ? At level 90+ I feel like the main motivation left is just the challenge of not dying and getting to 99. This problem may have become more prominent since 0.2.0 because leveling is much smoother now, and threats in 65+ maps are much more manageable. What I'd like to see: TIER 1-14 maps should be more difficult At this point it feels like Waystone I to XIV are relatively meaningless. You progress through them simply as a means to level up. Once you are ~80, you're running exclusively TIER 15 maps. This is fine, but it feels like the progression from TIER 1-14 was a breeze and completely uneventful. TLDR Tier 1-14 do not pose a challenge, they are simply a means to level up with content of appropriate level. I would like to feel a sense of completion progressing through TIER 1-14, that parrallels your build coming into shape with the skill points gained between level 65 and 80. I'm not sure what is the solution. Some ideas: - I would reduce the experience gain starting at TIER 1, it is a little too fast now - I would like to see meaningful completion objectives besides the Corrupted Nexuses, introducing a concept of "regions" might be one way of making each map tier meaningful Waystones TIER 1-14 sit in your stash and are basically completely useless. The stash as a whole feels like an unfinished idea. Why do we store tier 1-14 maps? - REMOVE the waystones, and add a new mechanic like Corrupted Nexuses that would increment the minimum TIER of maps. perhaps expanding outwards in the atlas for example, could open up higher tier of maps?
