Unplayable due to crashing
|
Hello,
I've been dealing with a crashing issue since launch. Throughout the pre-season, I was able to play the game on severely reduced graphics and disabling engine multi-threading. The engine multi-threading was the biggest culprit, and I needed to reduce other graphics settings in order to achieve stable performance. Unfortunately the crashing issue has now made the game actually unplayable. I haven't had a chance to try Dawn of The Hunt until this past weekend, and now I cannot even make it to Clearfell without the game crashing. Regardless of the graphics settings, I cannot get the game to function. It took >10 launches of the game to be able to get a verification code for this support email. My PC: Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4GHz 32 GB 5600MHz RAM NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070 1TB SSD Windows 11 I've tried every recommendation I can find to correct this issue. - Run game as admin - Try Vulkan/DX12 - Tweaked every graphics setting - Verify files (Steam) - Reinstall the game (Steam) - Installed the game through the GGG launcher - Updated game drivers - No PC components are overheating - Adjusted CPU affinity - Run Windows Memory Diagnostic to see if there are RAM issues - Clean - Run GPU benchmarking (Heaven) to determine if there are GPU issues - No crashing under load Please help me. They're doing their best to make me regret buying the EA supporter pack :-(

Delete your shader cache. That helped me.

" Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, did not fix. |

" Dang. Yeah, I'm on a lower spec PC than you and I'm not having any issues after it started working. You probably want to actually reach out to their support team though. They aren't responsive on the feedback forums. support@grindinggear.com Last edited by DankWeebTrash#7386 on May 12, 2025, 4:39:02 PM

" Canned response that they aren't offering technical support at this time. I tried emailing back at launch and again today. Maybe one day... Last edited by dumbledots#3785 on May 12, 2025, 5:31:38 PM

" Probably not tbh. They are actively trying to stomp out a nuclear reaction like it's a fire..... Good news is that the crashes are saving you from this patch! All jokes aside I'd probably just try again when 0.3.0 comes around if you haven't had a response. |
