Game Unplayable - Constant Crashes - US Server
|
Honestly - I dont know what else to do other than just quit. I have tried everything I found online and nothing works.
I have: - Repair game files - Uninstall, delete cache, reinstall on completely different SSD - Undervolted CPU, Throttled CPU - Changed every single graphical setting in the game - Updates BIOS, drivers, chipset, video cards, etc However I still get disconnected about once every 10-20 minutes. When it crashes it kicks me out to the login screen. Cannot do maps, cannot do sekhamas/chaos, sometimes cannot even trade, due to disconnecting. Please can someone help me fix this? I combed through the logs, I deleted duplicated of error messages so this would be so long, but this is what I am dealing with and this is only a 3 hours time-frame where i get so sick of it I quit. 100% the same. Unable to play the character, as well, because it's stuck in the map/loading screen.
Maps: After a few minutes in a map, game crashes to desktop. Relogging isn't an issue, however, I'm unable to log into the same character that I was previously on. And since my character was in that map, it's unplayable. Even if I log into another character, and open a different map (in a different location), crash/desktop. ....This happens once every 1-3 maps. |

I have no idea how to even approach fixing this - I contacted support, yet they send me POE1 links and advised they to not do troubleshooting via there support team - lololol.
Such a shame. 0.1.0 had no issues for me at all. Also another thing to note that I had completely forgotten about - These disconnects never happened during my campaign playthrough on 0.2.0, it only happened after, but it doesnt matter if im in maps or just sitting in my hideout. New nVidia driver just came out this week. Installed DDU, removed old driver in safemode, rebooted and reinstalled.
Same issue :( what else is there left to do here? |

Hmmmm - Does anyone know if there is some kind of timeout in the game settings? I through my original post into CHAT GPT and asked to only look at abnormal disconnects and if it was able to see any trends (which I did not notice before. ) These disconnects are happening at 15 minutes on the nose!
1. Recurring Time Intervals Most of the disconnects occur at or very near HH:08, HH:23, HH:38, and HH:53, which suggests a 15-minute interval pattern: Time Interval Pattern 10:23:01 +15 min from 10:08 (likely missing) 10:38:01 +15 min 10:53:01 +15 min 11:08:01 +15 min 11:23:01 +15 min 11:38:01 +15 min 11:53:01 +15 min 12:08:01 +15 min 12:23:01 +15 min 12:38:01 +15 min 12:53:01 +15 min 13:08:01 +15 min 13:23:01 +15 min 13:38:01 +15 min 13:53:01 +15 min |

I'm afraid I have a final update to share, where I am a bit embarrassed and raising the flag of defeat and personal accountability.
I literally tried everything I could to resolve this. Finally I opted to go to chat GPT and dump the logs asking for trends, steps to take, etc. I installed PingPlotter to map my connection to the POE2 server I was connected too and it showed horrendous packet-loss from the first hop to the last. I should have checked this as one of the very first steps, but i never had issues before and exact same connection worked just fine on POE 0.1.0, however my friends, it was NORDVPN. I had split-tunneling enabled which should have put POE2 off my VPN, but I found out it is not working, it still thinks im connected to VPN when I play. Anwyas, just wanted to update - if anyone having similar experience. 1. Ask ChatGPT. 2. Work with an packet capture tool (WinMTR, PingPlotter) |
