Make Crafting Great Again

POE has a fantastic and nuanced crafting system. The problem is that it's completely unaffordable for 95% of the player base.

Chaos, Fracture, Divine, Annul, high level Omen, multiple copies of each currency is needed to produce ONE piece of good gear. This is a IMPOSSIBLE sum to accumulate for most casual players. For a game that is ultimately about gears, not levels, this design makes zero sense to me. Why gate content behind seemingly impossible odds?

Been saying this forever.

'Crafting' items = 'Currency' items. With these drop rates...

Crap design (or... genius?), which heavily favors RMT / Bots. I mean, that should just be obvious as the difference between day and night to everyone, but it is what it is.

I have never liked that implementation, but POE1 did do so much right when all the competetion did so much wrong. lol. Actually, im not sure its even the implementation that bugs me, so much as the 'absurd' drop rates given.
