Oneshots - Balancing

Reporting that from my perspective the game remains to have a massive balancing issue with getting oneshot.

Example:

- Level 91 Amazon, 2.600 life + 900 ES, 67 % Evasion, all res incl. chaos capped
- +150 life equipped on all items except one
- Powers through maps and so far up to T3 pinnacle content with mostly relative ease
- But gets oneshot by rare or boss hits (that can't be dodged because they just are too fast and instant) constantly

It's a ~ 30 divine geared character, closely following a maxroll build guide. I don't see additional potential to increase my life or ES pool without, perhaps, increasing the investment to 300 divine.

Getting oneshot two or three times within the span of, say, 10 maps - I quit playing for the day. It's simply not enjoyable. With this kind of character I should be able to either survive these massive hits with 5 to 10 % life remaining so I can try to struggle my way out of the situation, or the game should slow down and choreograph these massive hits even better so I get a realistic chance to dodge.

For context: 1800 hours of combined playtime between POE1 and 2 (of that 600 in POE2), cleared all content and pinnacles in both games, so, consider myself somewhat of a well-experienced player.

That's a <10k ehp character, which is basically glass cannon. You will be 1shot.

Stop following guides. Learn how evasion works. Build a hybrid es/eva character with ~1.5k-2k life and 3.5-4k es + ~12-14k evasion, which is easily doable with subpar gear.

Scaling life is only possible through a certain ascendancy and/or stacking str, your life rolls on gear mean nothing, because you have no way of scaling them.

Then Why TF have them pollute the item mods ?!?!??!?!? If they are ONLY FOR 1 CLASS !!! WHY TF ARE THEY POLLUTING ITEM MODS FOR ALL OTHER CLASSES !?!??!?

Well possibilities. Also HP is still very much useful even if you cant scale it well.

Still ... its polluting items with mods, making them ever harder to be useful ...

You find ES base and know that it will not have life rolls on it = WIN!

You find a Tier5 STR base armor and you KNOW its a ABSOLUTE WIN since it wont have any ES/mana/Dex roll on it !!!

Ground loot solved !!!

Just loaded it into POB, it's a 12.5k EHP build. The main issue is phys damage, max hit 3.446.

Which brings me back to my critical feedback, admittedly with a different twist: The issue of life scaling not being available to most characters (as you correctly point out) and therefor being forced into ES. Now that I think of it - you're right, my other builds which went all in on ES or Mind over Matter were much, much more tanky.

So imo still a balancing issue, which has ofc been reported many, many times - but it needs as much reporting as possible to get it the proper attention: Life builds need a huge buff.
