How many atlas points are unique maps supposed to give?

The tooltip on the map says completing a unique map gives 5, as does the item you pick up on completing the map, but on using it you only get 2 points?

If one or the other is correct this needs to be made clear.

It would also be nice if the tooltip on the atlas tree made it clear where the points come from and which ones you already have.
