Campaign - event rares vanish with player's death

0.2g Normal campaign, various acts
Before, I died to the dogs in Ogham Farmlands (Crop Circle event) after death I couldn't attempt that event again. Now the same just happened to me in Infested Barrens and I don't even see the event icon on the map.
Is it as intended?
