can't put waystone in node adjancent to completed map

See picture, the map with boss / irradiate and expedition option doesnt not provide the menu / box to put the waystone in when clicked. The other node connected to the completed one works, just not this one.
It is also not the node without option on top of the montain that is linked to the completed node, in case you are wondering if the path goes under the node like it happens sometimes.

Having the same issue.
