This could fix the trade negative feelings while maintaining all the original intent of the system.

If there was a hideout decoration item that allowed this trade process thats the start. You need to give it a unique ID generated from the trade site but if your account is linked ingame this is done automatically like the direct msg vs copy msg on the site now.

Then that event is logged in the hideout decoration and the unique id is copied to the sellers hideout decoration with the currency offered from the buyer.

Each player need to then add the items promised in the contract then an asynchronous event happens when if you confirm your side of the deal the items in the deal are locked unless you choose to unlock them then the deal can't be made.

Once each party has submitted the items to the trade event and confirmed the transaction is complete then the item/currency trade swaps the items in each players hideout decoration and completes the trade event removing it from the active data used.

I love to know how this could be improved or maybe I missed something someone else can see that makes this a really bad idea?

Lets discuss!

Or just an instant buy out auction house cos it's 2025
Time to stop kidding ourselves ggg. Current trade is a massive security vulnerability. Fix it.

(The only thing they're achieving with current trade setup is making is risk losing personal info by logging into a third party for no reason. It's lazy developing and nothing more)

Umm, third party? The trade site is GGG, official, and uses the same credentials your game login and account login (forums) use.

So, i guess the game is a security risk for you, uninstall time.!

PS: Not saying theres no risk in anything, in fact, theres risk in everything... But, yea... grain of salt here. Also, for the record, i would take an in game AH over their bullshit trade site any day... but i've already discussed this one much over time.
GGG - Why you no?

just need instant trade its 2025
GGG just needs to stop with this "You must hate every second of the trading experience" bullcrap. The drop rates are based on trade so people will trade no matter if it is a fun experience or not.

We already have tradebots and sipebots running amok so the people who want to play the market already do so while outsourcing the awful parts to a machine.

I sometimes wonder why is POE1 and POE2 one of the most RMT friendly games on the planet. As if the developers are trading a bit themselves.
