Activate secondary skill set not working properly

My active secondary skill set is on the left trigger.
As I hold the left trigger and hit up on the left thumb stick my second skill sets turns/ (glitches) into my first skill sets ....its okay when I hold left trigger and down,left, right on the left thumb stick. Example my dodge roll turns solar orb while I'm holding left trigger for active secondary skill set. So I can't dodge when I moving up
