Blood Mage Feels out of place

So we have a mage that does blood magic. But only blood skills are amazons?
Even if we as blood mages wanted to use these skills we cannot since they require "martial weapon". Blood mage with a spear? Oh and best spear users are blood mages too (insert clown emoji) In the occult tree there are only 2 spells which can be remotely considered blood mage spells. Bone Cage and Bonestorm. Bone cage is "okish" but Bonestorm requires "attacks" to fully do its thing with impale? (again) The class is not called necromancer or summoner to use minions. The class is not called bloody spear. The class is not called elemental mage. Its blood mage so please give us blood or at least let us use some of the amazons blood skills. Last bumped on May 4, 2025, 1:11:14 PM

" I kind of agree with you, since my first char was a blood mage and I also had this problem at some point. The ascendancy wants me to use physical damage, but the physical damage spells don't seem that good, yet. I feel I had more success just going chaos + minions. Anyway, I kind of like having to be creative by for example picking up spear in order to use blood skills or rather do physical damage. I really don't like the blood mage gets blood spells in occult tree that much, because it makes you have to think less and be less creative. |

Yeah... Blood Mage makes 0 sense at all.
It's a BLOOD Mage. Not a "Bloodmancer", a Blood Mage. Normally, in the realm of mAgIc, you need "Mana" to cast spells, or you use some scrolls if you are not proficient in magic to cast spells this way, with a one-time use. Blood Mages draw their power from... well... blood to cast spells. It's often forbidden and/or seen as "Dark Magic", but by doing so, they get access to magic even without the use of "Mana". So... why the hell do we have to spend "Mana" and "Blood" to cast any skill? Yes... skill and not SPELL!? Even the node "Blood Magic" doesn't care about your "Mana" because it's BLOOD Magic. I know, I know. Just a lOrE thing, but everything else on this ascendancy doesn't make sense too. [Removed by Support]

I laughed when I read the thread. I agree 100%. I thought I was the only one feeling this way. My main was a Blood Mage and I switched to Lich as soon as I could. I didn't think Blood Mage was good. And now it's the new Spark GGG destroyed a month ago ??? LMAO

For me there is no problem at all at using unexpected builds for a class, the f....d up thing is that it's Spark again. LOL

We are playing "arpg" its in the name. action role playing game.
