Ascendancy trials are not fun

I know there's probably been a thousand posts on this by now, but I'd like to add my argument.

Forcing people to do sanctum and ultimatum is not fun. I'd be willing to bet if you looked at the POE1 player base, it'd be a pretty small percentage of players who did these league mechanics. So, forcing the Majority of players thru these is the opposite of fun. Right now it just feels like something I have to do, even though I hate it.

Why not have ascendancy trials be linked to more universally liked areas of the game. Like bossing and maps. I would think a larger percentage of players enjoy those aspects of the game vs the current trials. I just feel like it would appeal to more players.

Of course there's still a place for sanctum and ultimatum, as optional end game activities. That was part of what made POE1 so good, is being able to essentially choose your endgame.

Anyway the game is a masterpiece either way, just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in on the matter.

I’m a POE casual in general. Just got my second character over all to the mapping endgame. One for start of EA and now my second character for DOTH. I play SSF exclusively, so I like the challenge.

I add my two cents as well: the jump from the first and second ascendency to the third is totally unhinged. I dont know how the curve would look like but definitely a visual indication that the balance is way off. First trial of the sekhemas and first chaos trial are definitely doable, you also get infinite attempts.

I’m now trying to finish my third trial… I mean I don’t really I’ll stupidly over level and then do try and farm some relics and then finally do it…

I think you’ll get the point. There is a major major jump in difficultly.

People have been saying this since they released. I doubt they are going to address it when they have more fundamental design issues to fix i.e. loot/damage scaling/PvE balance
