Animations dont sync fully with damage

Being that this game is often about dodging, please make sure that the animations and the damage delt sync up fully. I feel like there is a lag before the hit and after the animation for the hit. One area in particular is that there is a small delay between an AOE explosion reaching the end of the circle from the center, and when it hangs for a time before exploding. It should explode right at the end of the expansion, with no delay. Also, certain enemy abilities are not intuitive as to when the hit occurs. In all cases it should match the animation so that it's not frustrating, feeling like one has to guess.
