Azmeri Spirits Feedback and Improvements.

So, even after the "buff" this mechanic is still too tedious, fully specced into atlas, dosne't really feel rewarding.
My biggest gripe with the mechanic: The pathing, how come there is an elite a few meters away, but it chooses to go to the one I missed at the beggining of the map. at that point, I just ignore it, especially if it's a delirium map and it makes me walk out of the fog. How I would fix this mechanic: Instead of chasing after it, let us absorb the spirit. - While absorbed, you have a few seconds (15-30s) to move it to an elite on the map and buff it. - While absorbed, it has an aura that buffs creatures in the same radius it currently has. - If you come across a 2nd spirit while you have one absorbed, you absorb the second one, aura gets bigger, mobs get stronger, timer resets but now you have a lower amount of time to get it to a rare. - if you come across a 3rd one, same thing as above, less time to get it to a rare, mobs get stronger, but the sprit has a chance to morph into a rare variant that gives the rare a chance to drop the rarer Talismans. Potentially the more spirits you have absorbed, instead of buffing enemies it debuffs the player, dunno, play around with options on this part. I feel this change would give the player more agency over the mechanic while relaying less on the RNG pathing the spirit currently has. Edit: One more thing you could do for boss maps, if you have more spirits absobed, and you take it to the boss, it buffs it to extreme levelsm, but you are guaranteed a divine, or some super rare drop. but the fight is extremly hard. This would take some extreme balancing though, you don;t want the bosses to be impossible nor have only certain builds be able to do them. +1
Seems like a great idea. I didn't interact with wisps prior to the patch and still don't go out of my way to follow them, this would change that. It also still makes sense in the context of the "hunt" once you carry the spirit you have to hunt a rare. |

Honestly the whole mechanic is meh and I cannot believe that this shite is the first league.
Completely underwhelming. Spirit sits there patiently for the entire time I am on the map, then when I go near it ventures off through packs of mobs, giving me minimal time to deal with them before it gets angry and leaves. This premise should have died during ideation. |
