Retroactive Atlas Points Not Gained

I logged in yesterday and I didn't have my atlas tree points reset and I'm sitting at a total of 12 points spent. How is that possible if the rewards are 5 points each reward? Shouldn't I have some multiple of 5? I wasn't granted any extra reward points to spend.
