I was right in the middle of a valuable map with a Breach, Expedition, Althar, and a boss fight event — and suddenly the PlayStation Network went into maintenance without any warning. The result? All four portals gone, all progress lost.
This is not the first time this has happened, and it’s extremely frustrating that Path of Exile 2 offers no recovery or protection in cases like this.
How am I, as a player, supposed to be responsible for Sony performing unscheduled or unannounced maintenance? There was no communication whatsoever — not from Sony, not in-game, and not from GGG.
I invest time, items, and resources into these maps — and losing everything because of a PSN outage is just unacceptable. If this happens again, I will seriously consider quitting PoE entirely.
Console players deserve better. There needs to be a solution for situations like this, such as:
Offline instance recovery in case of server loss
In-game warnings when PSN maintenance is detected
Compensation for lost instances due to network interruptions
I sincerely hope this issue is finally taken seriously.
